Vegetable seller – Kâmpóng Cham, Cambodia
This picture has been taken while I was cruising across the floating village of Kâmpóng Cham. This village on the Tonle Sap lake is made of houses that literally float over the water. They are built on top of old oil can or bamboos linked together. The distance of the village from the main road changes from 5 to 7km depending of the season (rainy or dry season). In the village all the amenities you find in a normal village exist including petrol stations, ice making factory, police station, church, buddhist temple… all of them floating over the water obviously.
