Terrace farming – Colca Canyon, Peru

This picture has been taken near the Calca Canyon. In all the valley around the canyon it is still possible to observe many of the terrace culture that have been built by the Inkas about 500 years ago. Many of them are still used by the locals today to grow their food in this extremely hilly environment
