La Paz – Bolivia
This picture shows the geographical setting of the bolivian capital. La Paz is the highest capital in the world with its elevation varying from 3800m to 4100m depending on the neighborhood. The neighborhood located the highest are usually the poorest as they are colder and often suffer from landslide. A funny thing with La Paz buildings are their often bricked color. The reason is that a tax applied on the habitations once they are finished building. To avoid those tax, most of the houses in the highest part of the city are not entirely finished thus their color
