Bye bye the Andes! – Ruta 26A, Peru
This picture has been taken while I was driving from Cuzco to Nazca. A 600 kilometers journey that took me… 16 hours as the road goes through the Andes. I crossed 3 passes. First one being 4200m, second one 4400m and the last one… 4600m. When I get close to Nazca which is really close form the coast I had some kind of melancholia: I was living the Andes behind me for good this time after zig zagging through and around them for more than 5 months. As a goodbye, they offer me this amazing sunset on the buttresses of these amazing and gigantic mountains range.
